New books
I've just bought some new books and am wondering which to start with. I figured I would share this list with you, dear reader, so that you can make some random assumptions about me :-) , and also to potentially expose you to some book ideas you might not otherwise have.
Of course, in return for this increased transparency I am interested in reading order suggestions (who knows maybe there IS a right order to read them in for some deeper insights :-) ), and also other reading material suggestions.
- South - The Endurance Expedition
- Free Culture - The Nature and Future of Creativity
- The Eudaemonic Pie
- Inevitable Illusions - How Mistakes of Reason Rule Our Minds
- Influence - Science and Practice
- Maverick - The Success Story Behind the World's Most Unusual Workplace

Shackleton was a great leader, so definitely recommend reading South as one of the first. Influence is a book that will change the way you think about negotiations, so read this soon too. Although Maverick is very interesting, its not going to give you anything useful for your own situation at this time, so you can probably leave that 'til last.
Haven't read Inevitable Illusions, but looks interesting. I think it would have some overlap with "Innumeracy: Mathematical Illiteracy and Its Consequences" which is a great book. Also look at "Blink" for an alternative view of spontaneous decision making.
Sounds good (have already read "Innumeracy" and "Blink").
